| Description: | Water is heated over an open fireplace in a kettle. As soon as it begins to boil a woman shakes maize flour in gradually. The mush is cooked for 15 to 20 minutes. Then the kettle is placed on the floor and the mush stirred. The thickened mush is tipped on to a table and cut into thick slices with a thread. |
